Good Morning China!

Woke up about 9 in the morning to quickly pack to go China. Packed very little and figured if I needed extra clothes, I'd just buy it over there! Flew with Dragon Air from Hong Kong to Xiamen. I must admit this airline is great! I mean serving Burger King on a one hour flight... I'm impressed!

Out the window to my left, looks as if the chinese are nuking again.

Then to my right, and this bugger making me.. Arrgh!

You want to draw on his face too, don't you?

After a quick flight I meet Andy at Xiamen Airport arrivals hall. Boy glad to see him, coz seriously lost in translation. Yeh I did learn mandarin for a semester but these people here seriously talk like they got duracel up their bum!

Let me talk to you about the traffic in China! Oh Mai Goot! These people are insane. If they were driving like this in Sydney, the amount of traffic infringement would boost the economy and make Australia the most powerful country in the world! Drivers here cut each other, drive on the other side, I don't even understand why they have lines on the road! And walking across the road is dangerous! but I have learnt that all you have to do is walk and you'l be alright. Drivers will drive around you and won't come closer than 10 centimetres. Just imagine playing the game froggy... thats what its like!

Anyways we first stayed at a 4-star hotel which was somewhere close to everything. Put all our stuff away and tried to keep our valuables safe until...

The safe broke!! Made in China... you are right about bad quality! But hey everything you use is basically made in China, think about it!

This is where I stopped eating and got sick... coz Andy, yes the one above decided to order frogs! and told me after eating it (coz he told me it was chiken!) So I took photos, drank tea and watched him eat... the froggys. Look, mouthful of it!

Anyways this is a place we went nearly every night! I admit! its better than any nightclub there is in Sydney! No, there's no cover charge. The first level is full on clubbing, once you walk in you pass the cloak room and hit a fork on the road. Left is where its full on people dancing everywhere, on the right there's table for people to drink and a huge bar, and in the middle is the dj box and stage where dancers can perform (which can be seen on both sides!). The second level is a bar and lounge. You have to buy nine bottles of beer at a time or else none at all! But there's always people... ok girls, to drink with you. And while you drink there are performances on a huge stage. Very entertaining! And the next level is kareoke! They bring a yum cha trolley full of dimsims in too... pfft!

We also went site seeing, travelled to other cites and provinces, stayed in 5 star hotels, got pampered, and of course went drinking sometimes! I think thats all I can really say about my China trip. You really have to experience it yourself. I couldn't take much photos coz some places you aren't allowed to take photos, and the other reason, I didn't want people to know I'm a foreigner. They might rort me, mug me, who knows.

All in all, I'll be back... so you boys better save up and we can experience al-to-get-her! haha nah jk!

Avenue of Stars

Went over the harbour to visit the Avenue of Stars. This is Hong Kong's version of Hollywood's Boulevard.
Jackie Chan

Jet Li

The Peak

From Hong Kong with plenty of love!

Here is my postcard shot! This is without a doubt, the number one spot to see Hong Kong. When you reach the top, you will be in total awe for the view that is infront of you. All those skyscrapers you look up to when you are standing next to them are now below you as you are very high up when on the peak. I cannot recommend this enough, its truly breathtaking! I would also recommend going up at night. Well you can go during the day, to experience the view in the day.

Things could be worst!

I'm lucky to be living in Sydney!
Life is wonderful! You have to learn to value the smaller things in life. Learn to enjoy yourself and learn to relax. Make others happy and you will be happy!
I guess life isn't all that bad when you really think about it. Dark clouds will soon clear away and the best is yet to come!

Peking Duck

If you have not tasted quan de peking duck, you have not tasted the Peking Duck. The duck may look oily, but in actual fact they are not and the duck(skin + meat) just melts in your mouth. Watching the chef skillfully cutting the duck next to your table is quite an experience and you will surely impressed by their hand movements while preparing it. How to enjoy Peking Duck? You don't just pick up the duck meat with you chopstick and eat it right away. You need to do some work before you can enjoy the delicious Peking Duck. You will place a sheet of poh-piah skin onto you plate, pick up some duck meat and dip them into dark sauce and place them on top of your poh-piah skin. Pick some spring onions, and lay them along with your duck meat. Make sure you intermixed with some skin portion and meat for your preparation. Fold or roll them up, put them into your mouth. As I am write this, I still feel the Peking Duck in my mouth... Damn it!!! Ladies, please do not remove the skin because they are the reason you're eating the Peking Duck.

Let the Craziness Begin

Woah! what a night! I don't even know where to begin. Before I go on I'd just like to give a special shout out to a girl (who I will call Anonymous). I've only been doing this for what several months or so and already there are people who are telling me about the site and how much they enjoy it. Great stuff. She did ask me to make one change though: take more photo's of cute guys. Well uhm yeah... I don't know about that! How am I supposed to know what a cute guy is like? Sheesh! You know I give and I give and I give! What do I get? Haha!! (So Anonymous, you don't think my friend... ahem Ed cute?) Anyway moving along, I'll jump straight to what went on Sat night.

Clockwise from 6 o'clock, Annie, Bryan, Cecilia, me, Alan and Gloria

So met up Alan and Gloria at Timesquare, Causeway Bay and went to some building to meet Bryan and Joan. Caught the lift to the 32nd level, and I was like wtf!? Why is there a bar on the 32nd level of an office building, strange... but great atmosphere!

So here with have our starting five Jackal, Angel, me, Joan and CC lining up the Chivas!

Roy K.O after having two jugs of vodka orange to himself. That's coz he kept on losing in the drinking games we were playing. Time flies when you getting pissed doesnt it? Eventually we were getting kicked out cause we had been around a bit too long. But comon! You only have to pay HK$250, which is about Au$40 and you get to drink as much as you want whenever you want... now thats what I call value for money! So we chilling, shooting the shit and all that and next thing you know...

The group next to ours had a birthday and when they pulled this out... nah you don't want to know what happens next!

Cecilia happy and all! She now working for Singapore Airlines

CC, me and her man Alan. What can I say about Alan... he's probably the only honkie that I know that can drink. Another one of our Aviation crew who have moved back here.

Me and Joan

You know what they say... older the berry, sweety the...nah I won't finish the saying.

They so wanted to be in my blog!

To another unknown club we go... very nice isn't it

We meet up with James and his bunch of girly friends! I must say, clubs in HK... I'm impressed

Get the vibe? Seriously felt like John travolta in Saturday Night Fever.

Ni hao! me and Robyn macking these two ladybirds! P.S no money spent.

Alex, who works for Sony Records joins us on the rampage

After sifting through the masses I eventually got her. This chica is crazy I tell ya, and cool too. CrazySexyCool like TLC! I can't pronounce her name tho.

On my back like a parasite. Haha!

Uh huh! Alex and Robyn with these two Phattys. They not fat at all... you know, prety hot and tempting. These two japanese girls are in HK doing modeling work, and Alex that night did the work on them!

Alex being the grimace that he is trips over his clumsy self, so it was stacks on a lovely pic of his rear.
Ok I see you! so we cleaned our act together and left the building

Yeah after a coupla more drinks we decided to get out cause if I stayed any longer I was gona put my liver in a coma. Left Lan Kwai Fong and took couple cabs to near by place for breakfast!

This is what I ate but I was dying for some real food, like you know those greasy kebabs... pfft!

We saw that the trams started, so decided to catch that home coz it only costs HK$2 a ride. No yum cha... instead catch a thing called rest. My legs felt like it was gonna fall off from all the dancing with short girls!

Dimsim

These are the tastiest! Can't stop eating these things!

Asians squating!

I still don't understand why asians love squating so much... its irritating, make rest of us asians look like bums.

They even have made a statue...

Symphony of Light

The light show is best seen on the wharfs in Tsim Sha Tsui, which happens at 8pm everynight for about 15 minutes.

Bar Felix

Went to Bar Felix, the Peninsula with Robyn, Cecilia, Bryan and Alan (from uni). The place was full of westerners, which then made us feel out of place! And we're the Honkies!

Disney Land HK

I feel like the biggest kid. but seriously everyone loves Disney Land

Not nearly as big as the one in Japan...

More photos in my head... this is when my Casio Exilim camera decided to die on me!

Seafood for Dinner

Caught the MTR (train) across the harbour to Kowloon Bay to meet some relos. Then caught a bus over the rocky mountains headed towards the ocean somewhere to eat seafood, authentic asian style!
You think I be in an aquarium or fish shop...

you gonna be eaten one day... who eats this anyway?!?

Me choosing what I wanna eat!

The result, and you can't go seafood without a good glass of brew!
