Mia's 1st Week

As parents, health is most important. Thankfully Mia is very healthy. Even though she had a little lump on her head coz when the doctor pulled her out. I was scared I tell you.

Mia all wrapped up.

Nurses at the hospital taught us everything during our stay there, and I got it all down on footage for reference. Does she look like me or Jeni?

This foto was sold for millions!

We left the hospital after 4 nights... and we were eager to get home and show Mia her room. We were so excited!! Jeni had to cover up a lot coz apparently if you get sick during the first couple momths after giving birth will be very bad. So she had to do whatever she had to do...

Mia on her first car ride... she sleeps all the way.

Not even one week and smiles randomly. Makes me so happy when I see her like this. She feeds every four hours, she doesnt cry unless shes hungry or wets her nappy. So being parents have been alright so far.

Mia's cot with some of her toys around. Mia is very lucky, she already has so many toys and clothes. She will need to thank everyone who gave her gifts when older!

I usually wake up around 6 to feed Mia and then change her nappy. Sometimes I would put her back to sleep with Mummy and then get ready for work. This is a photo one morning when I came out of the shower...really like this photo!

I love the time after I give Mia a bath and then let her play. Nothing better than spending quality time with your daughter!

Then shes all wrapped up again ready to sleep. She sleeps 22hrs a day!!! wish I could do that.

Delivery Time

Its D-day for Jeni... and boy I was nervous. Looking at all those medical equipment makes me scared!

And what does that do?
Jeni looking nervous. That machine on the right examines the baby's heartrate as well as Jeni's contractions. Contractions has got to be the most horrible thing ever!
Checking into St George Private Hotel was nice tho. It was very good and had a bed for me too right beside Jeni. Everyone was good there as well. They really look after you when you are there, and for me I just kept eating and drinking. Was like a buffet there.

Jeni doesnt look nervous here... thats coz I bought her a McChicken and nuggets!! The last supper.

Everything is okay until...

BAM!! Mia is born! 6.09Am. This was by far the best experience of my life. It was hard to see Jeni go through all the pain and suffering, but she held it together and was so strong. Made me realy proud! She was in labour for 13 grueling hours taking in the gas all throughout that period. She had 2 out of body experience, which was funny coz the times she looked like passing out she snapped and said to me twice... "I saw you, I saw you!" I thought it was funny... not at that time tho. She said no to epidural, and I was like are you sure you can stand the pain!??! And she did it all natural. Very brave!

Jeni getting to hold Mia first! What a proud mum!

Mia weighing in at 3.1kg and 51cm tall. Power forward!
